What to bring
- A list of spots you are concerned about, including when you noticed changes.
- Photos if a spot has changed or symptoms come and go.
- Details of previous skin cancers, biopsies or specialist letters.
- Clothing that makes the area easy to examine.
When to book a longer appointment
Book a longer appointment, or confirm with reception, for a full skin check, multiple spots, a history of skin cancer, or if you also need to discuss other medical concerns.
What happens after the appointment
Follow-up and referrals
Your GP may recommend monitoring, treatment discussion, biopsy or excision planning where available and appropriate, or referral to another clinician or specialist.
