What patients usually book for

Suitability consultation

A clinician-led discussion about your health history, medications, allergies, symptoms, goals and whether IV treatment is clinically appropriate.

Risks, consent and pricing

A clear conversation about possible risks, side effects, alternatives, current POA pricing and the option not to proceed.

Preparation and follow-up

Guidance on what to bring, what to expect during the appointment, aftercare and when to seek medical help.

Urgent symptoms: IV infusion appointments are not for urgent care. If you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, fainting, severe allergic symptoms, severe dehydration, confusion, signs of sepsis, or feel acutely unwell, call 000 or seek urgent medical care.

Preparing for your appointment

What to bring

  • A list of current medicines, supplements and allergies.
  • Relevant medical history, recent blood test results or specialist letters if available.
  • Details of pregnancy, breastfeeding, immune conditions, kidney disease, heart conditions or previous reactions if relevant.
  • Questions about risks, alternatives, costs, timing and aftercare.

When to book a longer appointment

The clinician will consider suitability, discuss risks and alternatives, and confirm consent. Treatment may be delayed or declined if it is not appropriate or more information is needed.

What happens after the appointment

Follow-up and referrals

You may be advised about preparation, monitoring, follow-up, POA pricing, or safer alternatives. The safest outcome may be not proceeding with an infusion.

No. Suitability depends on your health history, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, current symptoms and clinical assessment.

What should I ask before deciding?

Ask about expected benefits and limits, risks, alternatives, POA pricing, preparation, aftercare and when to seek urgent help.
